SOLUTIONS FOR WHIPLASH INJURY IN TROY

SUFFERING WITH A WHIPLASH INJURY IN TROY?

Whiplash is an injury that most commonly occurs in a car accident like a head on collision or rear-ending, but can also occur in any incident where the head is thrown forward or backward suddenly. While whiplash can be mild and produce mild symptoms in the head, neck, and shoulders, some can be severe:
  • Neck Pain
  • Pain in the upper back, shoulder, and arms
  • Pain with movement of the neck
  • Blurred vision
  • Headaches
  • Vertigo/dizziness
  • Numbness/tingling in the arms or hands
  • Ringing in the ears
Beyond the noticeable symptoms that occur as a result of the whiplash injury, there can also be soft tissue damage to muscles and ligaments, and damage to the bones and joints of the neck which can have immediate and long term consequences.

QSM3 CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT OF WHIPLASH IN TROY

The most critical aspect of treating whiplash is an in-depth examination to determine the extent of the damage. A set of neck x-rays will usually be necessary to visualize any damage to the spinal joints, including a non-invasive nerve scan to determine if any nerves are pinched or irritated. Once any major damage is ruled out we begin with QSM3 chiropractic protocols which seek to correctly align the head over the neck, supporting a normal neck curve, and taking pressure off of the joints and nerves. There many also be segmental adjustments of any joints in the neck that remain stuck after postural decompression, to ensure proper motion and joint integrity throughout the whole neck, allowing the soft tissue and joints to heal and pain to subside.
